Joseph Gatti has been a real estate professional in the greater Danville area for the past 14 years. He specializes in listing transactions, real estate marketing, lender and escrow interaction in the real estate process, and pre-qualified buyer representations. He earned his Real Estate Broker’s license in 2019, and is a Broker Associate with Compass out of the 760 Camino Ramon office in Danville. He publishes a monthly article in “Alamo Today, Danville Today, News,” focused on the local real estate market in the greater Danville area.

In 2018, he completed the Commercial Broker Associations Education Series in commercial real estate. Before his real estate career, he lived in both Italy and Scotland, pursuing academic postgraduate studies. He holds a CELI 3 certificate in Italian language proficiency from the Universita per Stranieri di Perugia, Umbria and the European Union. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with Bachelor Degrees in both English and Political Science.

Real estate has been a central part of Ron Gatti and Joseph Gatti’s lives, rooted in deep family ties to the San Francisco East Bay dating back to 1939 when Ron’s father immigrated from Italy and settled in Walnut Creek. Raised in Danville, Ron developed a lifelong appreciation for the San Ramon Valley, viewing it as one of the best places to live. Having witnessed the area’s growth firsthand, he built a strong belief in the value of homeownership—not just as a financial investment, but as a way to establish community and long-term security. A full-time real estate agent since 1977 and broker since 1981, Ron is known for his hands-on, client-focused approach, emphasizing accessibility, personalized service, and guidance through the emotional process of buying and selling homes.

Ron’s deep local expertise is complemented by his son and business partner, Joseph, who brings a modern, analytical perspective to their work. Born and raised in Danville and educated locally before earning degrees from UC Davis, Joseph also spent several years in Europe, becoming fluent in Italian. He eventually returned home to join his father in real estate and support his family during a difficult time. Together, the Gattis combine generational knowledge with contemporary strategies, serving communities throughout Danville, San Ramon, Alamo, and beyond while remaining committed to preserving the character and long-term value of the neighborhoods they call home.

A full time real estate agent since 1977 and a real estate broker since 1981, Ron's success as one of the top agents in the industry results from his understanding that buying and selling a home is an emotional ordeal. He insists on being highly available to all of his clients, because of his deep understanding of how stressful the real estate process can be. He knows that accessibility and timing are paramount to the success of a transaction and that each family or individual he helps through the buying or selling process is unique and deserves specific attention. This attitude of total service has garnered Ron a long list of referrals and past clients who wish to work with him again, which is a testament to the high caliber, people-friendly agent that he has made of himself over the years.

Having been raised in the same area that he specializes in, Ron has watched his hometown grow and thrive, which makes him especially fond of wanting to represent the neighborhoods and schools surrounding Danville, San Ramon, Alamo, Blackhawk, Walnut Creek, and Pleasanton. His interest and expertise in real estate has also been used to preserve the small town feeling that he remembers of Danville and the San Ramon Valley. When the Bear Tree property along the Las Trampas ridgeline became available, Ron and a friend purchased the 43 acre parcel of land. In 1994, it was sold to the East Bay Regional Park District with the intent of creating an interconnecting corridor between parkland that would ensure the ridgeline above Danville would remain natural and untouched.

Julie Cygan

Julie Cygan is a member of the Gatti Real Estate Team, serving the San Ramon Valley and greater East Bay for more than 50 combined years.

A second generation San Francisco native, Julie has called Danville home since 1994. Julie’s enthusiasm for real estate started at an early age as she invested in her first property while still a college student, and currently owns several properties in the area with her husband, Bill. She has always believed in the power of homeownership as a means to build wealth. Julie also brings her past experience in mortgage lending and corporate finance to every transaction. She has access to the latest technology, market data, and digital marketing tools to maximize results.
